This Black Friday weekend, we are focusing on conscious consumerism and how our purchases can make a change. 100% of the profits made today (11/25) through Sunday (11/27) will be donated to the Women's Earth Alliance (WEA), an organization committed to working at the intersection of gender, racial and environmental justice.
Since the start of Momotaro Apotheca we have made annual commitments to support Women, LGBTQ+2IA communities, sex workers and sustainability.
This season we turn our focus to the prosperity of women and girls and how they increase the prosperity of our planet. Making up 51% of the Earth’s population, women and girls in every society are responding more effectively in times of crisis and actively working towards the creation of a more just and sustainable world.
This Reverse Black Friday, instead of lowering prices and creating a culture of chronic consumption we ask you to consume consciously and buy products with purpose. Momotaro Apotheca’s commitment has always been to create products that are good for your body and the planet. But beyond that, we aim to support community and foster creativity, kindness and culture that helps advance some of the most marginalized. Be it from gender, sexual orientation, race, socioeconomic and geographic position we are committed to intersectional support.

The Women's Earth Alliance is a global community committed to working at the intersection of gender, racial and environmental justice, because they know one can’t happen without the other. As they pursue the transformation and amplification of women’s leadership, solutions, and alliances, they know that many environmental movements have perpetuated the marginalization of the global majority — including people of color, native peoples, people from working class backgrounds, women, and LGBTQ people. We believe that these communities must be centered in the work they do. A belief Momotaro Apotheca proudly supports. They ground their curriculum and activities with Accountability Principles, working to unpack, dismantle and transform oppressive systems.
And that’s why, for our Reverse Black Friday, we are choosing to spotlight Women's Earth Alliance and the work they are doing to empower women around the world and generate environmental change this holiday season.
